Advanced Manufacturing & Quality Systems
AMB offers a full range of manufacturing services which can produce one of a kind designs to continuous production deliverables. We create high-tolerance, precision, and complex components that require stringent processing under specific Quality Assurance and QC programs. Our in house design and engineering teams also allow us to efficiently support system and component development from concept to finished product.

Applied Research & Prototyping
AMB has worked with various DoD research offices to design, engineer, and manufacture both scaled and full scale prototypes for advanced research projects. AMB has provided the technical foundation necessary to develop propulsor concepts for the next generation of warships with stealth superiority. We can build fully operational prototypes and testing machines from mere ounces to thousands of pounds or dimensionally up to about 150ft. These prototypes can also be outfitted with a number of electronic sensors for testing acceleration, bending, temperature, or frequencies.

Structural Analysis & Simulation
AMB employs advanced modeling capabilities to solve a multitude of physics problems to the maximum extent possible before much larger investment is required for working models. Kinematics, Mechanics, and thermodynamics can all be assessed for their effects on the designs or systems being analyzed before testing or implementation. AMB’s extensive experience in these areas has allowed for it to use mathematical modeling in place of prototypes saving our customers millions of dollars.
Over a century of American
Engineering & Manufacturing
Keeping Our Navy Fit To Fight Since 1921
In 1921, a small bearing company was established in Los Angeles to manufacture specialty bearings for early Indy Cars. From the seed planted that day grew the world’s leading developer in bearing propulsion systems. Throughout the 20th century, we’ve pioneered advancements in journal bearing design and the list of Navy ships and submarines equipped with bearings engineered and manufactured by AMB reads like the history of the US Navy fleet. The photo above titled “A Trainload of Cooperation” shows just one of three deliveries of Weldtite Lineshaft Bearings used in the construction of 531 Victory class ships. A century later, AMB continues to strive for that same level of cooperation with our supply base to ensure the success of our partners.
Equipped For Innovation
Certified For Quality
Our customers require equipment that can operate reliably in the harshest, most punishing environments. To ensure that our products deliver the uncompromising performance customers expect, AMB applies stringent Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) measures throughout the manufacturing cycle. Our QA and Management Systems can easily process materials that have a variety of different QC requirements including: MIL-STD, EB Standard Clauses, Huntington Ingalls Standard Clauses, Bath Iron Works Standard clauses, CMMC, ASTM, ASME, ABS, Lloyds, TQM, ITAR, ISO, DIN, JS, and custom modified customer specifications. QA continually measures, monitors, and tests to verify our products’ compliance with all appropriate specifications and standards applicable to our customer’s needs.
