American Metal Bearing Company custom designs seal housings for marine and industrial applications. Shown here is a hydroelectric generator seal housing designed for Southern California Edison, the California utility. The seal housing is machined from aluminum stock using CNC machines. Seal housings are designed as two-piece assemblies and can be installed with the shaft in place. Replacement of rubber seals and springs is very easy and requires a minimum of down time. Our engineers will come to your facility to measure the shafts and housing and design your custom seal housings. Our seal housings have been operating for years in hydro electric and marine applications.
